OPPORTUNITY

Michelin is currently seeking an exceptional candidate to join our team as an Industrial Progress Engineer (Entry/Experienced) at our Louisville location. WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes, tools, equipment, and work activities to meet and exceed safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
  • Lead improvement projects and facilitate Kaizen/Lean events to drive continuous improvement.
  • Analyze and challenge existing procedures, making recommendations for improvement and working with operational management to integrate solutions.
  • Increase the autonomy of operational teams by enhancing their skills in organizational change, project management, and employee engagement.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • Demonstrated experience in effectively leading teams or project groups, setting clear goals, delegating tasks, providing regular feedback/coaching, and promoting a collaborative work environment. Military service a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of industrial, manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, project, or related technical experience. This can include internship, Co-op, apprenticeship, military service, or similar programs.
  • Strong influence and negotiation skills, both in verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to set and achieve goals with minimal supervision.
  • Success in working collaboratively with others to achieve common objectives.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including appreciation, empathy, dispute resolution, and active listening.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement project plans that meet or exceed expectations.
  • BS in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical major preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
