This opportunity is at our Central Engineering headquarters, located on our Donaldson Center Campus in Greenville, South Carolina. Our team of Engineers is responsible for the successful implementation of major capital projects throughout North America. These state-of-the-art projects relate to new and upgraded material handling, material preparation, tire-building, and curing processes at our Manufacturing Facilities throughout the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. MISSION:

For the investments of his/her perimeter, this person is guarantor of the most efficient electrical installations, through:
- Taking into account, the challenges, opportunities, and input data for all electrical projects
- Overseeing the realization, installation, commissioning, and the reception of electrical installations.

KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS:

• Ensures the optimization of the specifications by challenging the needs.
• Conducts feasibility studies, delivers an estimate, a schedule, a technical description and a risk analysis.
• Research and select a supplier for the studies and construction phases.
• Delivers a Basic Design file (detailed design):

  • performs or verifies assumptions, sizing calculations and plans
  • challenge the proposed solutions
  • ensures design during technical reviews

• Transmits a quotation, a consolidated schedule, and updated risk analysis
• Delivers a building and its utilities in compliance with the codes, costs, time, and quality commitments by:

  • checking the conformity of the execution plans to the specifications
  • evaluating any performance gaps
  • managing any changes
  • participating in the monitoring and safety of the work place
  • preparing, planning, and monitoring of the commissioning and reception of equipment and work done

• Prepares the end-of-project balance sheet for the Project, and archives all documentation
• Ensures continuous progress in the Electrical aspects of projects (technical specifications, tools, and calculation notes)

Additional Expectations and information:

It is expected that the travel for this role would be both Domestic and International and occur at a rate of approx. 30%

The preferred candidate would have 3-5 years in Medium and High voltage applications.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent electrical experience

Experience with electrical design and NEC regulations.

Experience with NFPA 70E standards and requirements
