Tax Manager

Main Mission:
- You will cover all tax matters, including all domestic corporate taxes (direct and indirect), as well as international tax and transfer pricing (though the operational controlling part is handled by a separate team at Group level);
- Your geographic perimeter will cover Romania and other nearby countries (perimeter to be fined tuned depending on the skills of the candidate).
What will you do:
- You will contribute to regional projects involving other countries, working with the inspiring and supportive Europe tax team;
- Preparation of tax returns and tax balance sheets as well as regular tax calculations (current and deferred taxes) with comprehensive reporting of tax stakes to the Europe and Group Tax team (based in France);
- Maintain and develop the relationship with the local tax authorities to manage the audits in a responsible and opened manner;
- Close working relationship and coordination with the accounting and finance department;
- You will provide assistance on tax issues to the management and to various divisions/departments from Michelin Romania, including the factories;
- Active contribution to improve the tax compliance organization and the risk management best practices, while strictly complying with the applicable laws and tax regulations.
Your profile:
With a minimum of 5 years experience (up to 10 years) working in a tax position with a strong international exposure, you will be based in Bucharest.
You will work with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. You enjoy technical debates and challenges with your peers.
- Technical skills required:
- University degree in Economics or Lawyer degree with Master in Tax
- Fluent in English
- Strong tax knowledge, both direct and indirect taxes, including knowledge of the tax accounting and the effective tax rate (incl. Pillar 2 knowledge)
- Expert knowledge of national tax law and very good knowledge of international tax and transfer pricing rules
- High affinity for working with IT systems and MS Office; Oracle knowledge is an advantage
- Tenacity and ability to convey difficult tax messages, even to the top management, in a positive way
- Autonomy, solution-oriented and strong communication skills
- Open-minded and collaborative mindset: eager to build a good working relationship with the business, finance and tax teams, and beyond
- Curiosity and agility
